Accra, Ghana — December 13, 2025

The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has officially inaugurated its Facilitator Body, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of Ghana’s cybersecurity governance framework.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, who delivered the keynote address and formally constituted the Facilitator Body in accordance with Section 81 of the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038).

The newly inaugurated body comprises nine members: Alhaji Sherrif Issah, Mr. Prince Adu (CCSP, CISA, CRISC, SWIFT CSP Assessor), Ms. Blessing Obeng, Mr. Roger Akrong, Mr. Emem Umoh, Ms. Olayinka Naa Dzama Wilson-Kofi, Mr. C.K. Bruce, Mr. Mohammed Siraj, and Ms. Audrey Mnisi Mireku. The Body is mandated to provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for the Industry Forum as it moves toward full operationalisation.

The event also formally concluded the work of the Facilitating Committee, whose efforts laid the groundwork for the Industry Forum through the development of key instruments, including the draft Industry Code and Constitution Framework.

Speaking on the significance of the transition, the CSA noted that the establishment of the Facilitator Body strengthens structured public–private collaboration and advances national cybersecurity resilience — a critical priority as Ghana deepens its digital economy ambitions.

The CSA expressed gratitude to the Minister, members of its Governing Board, the outgoing Facilitating Committee, the newly inaugurated Facilitator Body, and all stakeholders whose contributions ensured the success of the event.

“Together, we remain committed to building a safe, resilient, and trusted digital Ghana,” the Authority stated.
